12 Beers: Odell Brewing Isolation Ale
Odell Brewing Isolation Ale
Aroma:
I got faint notes of spice, malt, and yeast although none were very pronounced.
Appearance:
Poured a rich translucent brown with a thick cream colored head and a minor amount of lacing.
Taste:
Subtle malt and yeast flavors with an odd underlying bitter and sweet notes that come and go.
Overall:
Although I quite enjoy many of Odell Brewing's other beers, I felt the Isolation Ale was less than average. There were aromas and flavors that were so faint I found myself thinking too much trying to determine what they were instead of enjoying the beer.
